About Barker’s
Barker’s of Geraldine has been filling Kiwi pantries with syrups, spreads, chutneys, sauces and much more deliciousness for over 50 years.
We’re well-known for creating tasty, inventive food, that’s loaded with fruit and vegetables. Food that’s still made with passion and pride, on a corner of the original family farm in Geraldine, South Canterbury.
From farming sheep, to making wine, and then transforming ripe fruit and crisp veggies into tasty foods – Barker’s of Geraldine has had quite a journey. Innovation has always been in our DNA, from the moment Gillian and Anthony Barker started making fruit wine in the shed from foraged local berries. That innovative spirit has led to Barker’s becoming experts in making jam, fruit syrup, chutney and sauces, and we now have products spread across the supermarket aisles.
Kiwi’s trust Barker’s to add flavour to every-day eating occasions and create moments of goodness they want to share. Moments that tables, picnic rugs and fancy platters are waiting for. Because shared food just tastes better!
Barker’s is proud to produce two iconic South Island brands; Barker’s of Geraldine and Anathoth Farm. Anathoth Farm captures the goodness of life with natural, batch-made chutneys and preserves.
Anathoth have been a Twin brand since 2002, with the Barker’s brand joining in 2007.
